Gizmo
was a tiny, sick, malnourished kitten in an animal shelter when
she chose us for her parents. Today, she has the strength and energy
of a young cat, though she is eleven years old. As you can see, she
grew up to be a beautiful calico with thick, silky fur. She has my
husband and me very well trained, even teaching us to do the tricks
she prefers. For instance, if he holds a cat treat in his loosely
closed fist, Giz will wiggle her head into his hand to eat it -- her
idea. She also exhibits understanding of a large number of words; in
fact, she seems to recognize some when we spell them out! She's our
best friend and an endless source of smiles. By the way, Gizmo has
