Foppet
came into our household by mistake. While visiting the animal shelter
with a friend who was looking for a dog, I made the fatal turn into the cat
room. Foppet, who was then about six months old, chirped and reached out
through the bars, grabbing my arm as I passed by. I was a goner. Walking into
that room was one of my better mistakes. My other two cats weren't so quick
to agree, but within a week she had won them over. Fop still has a sweet
disposition and purrs at the slightest provocation. She is beautifully marked
and loves to show off her fat, white belly. Though she is now the old lady of
our cat household, she still manages to play occasionally between naps and
meals.
