This
is Lucy. She is "Purr-fect" in every way to me. Lucy
came into our home on the day after Christmas. We had called our
veterinarian looking to see if he knew of anyone who had any kittens
to adopt. One of the receptionists had said she had a few. So we went
over to her house that evening and found that we had our choice of
about 15(!) kittens and cats. But we knew that Lucy was the one. She
reminded us of our cat Button who had passed away last June. When we
brought her home, she was a little shy at first, but eventually she
opened up. She never likes to be alone and will follow you everywhere,
even to the shower. She is better than an alarm clock because she
wakes me up every morning at 6:00 on the dot, either by licking my
nose or my finger. Sometimes I wake up and there she is , just staring
at me. She loves to sit in the window and watch the birdies and
squirrels go by because she doesn't get to go outside. It's a little
too dangerous because we live in a busy area. But Lucy doesn't mind.
When I come home from work, she is standing right at the door waiting
for me. And when I say hello to her, she answers back and flips over
to receive her belly rub. Her favorite game is "Thumper" in
which she lays on her side and gets pushed around the carpet by her
back legs. She loves to play with her Octopus on a string. In fact,
she will even bring her toys to me if she wants to play. She is quite
a special kitty and has brought much happiness into our home.
