This
is my cat, Poppy. I say about because she is a foundling. We did
all we could to find where she had come from. She was so cute someone
must be missing her! But every time the phone rang we hoped it wasn't
for her. We became so attached to her it would be a sad day if she had
to go. We took her to the vets to be checked for tags (with fingers
crossed!) and she wasn't tagged! Phew! The vet said once we had her
for two weeks, and tried so hard to find her owners, we could presume
she was ours! We counted the days! She is such a character!
This picture is how she spent most of the Christmas holiday! She must
have thought the tree was a new toy just for her! We had to
redecorate it so many times. But she is so funny we couldn't be cross
with her. As we went to put the decorations back on the tree she
'pounced' from somewhere inside where she was hidden! She mustn't like
the dark because at night she jumps up and down at the switch until
the bathroom light is on! She also thinks our dog Max is here for her
enjoyment! Poor Max puts up with her chasing his tail, eating his
food, sleeping on his chair, and playing with his toys!
Each morning Poppy comes into my bed to wake me. She gives wonderful
kitten kisses saying 'feed me now'! She is naughty, though - sometimes
she stalks my daughter. I think she is jealous of her. But she loves
Poppy too so we have to train her not to do it, and she is getting
better!
I have this picture as my wallpaper on my PC. It makes me smile each
time I switch on. When I am working at my desk Poppy sits on top of my
monitor, probably won't do it much good, but she looks so sweet I
haven't the heart to move her! and I enjoy her company. She wakes up
and plays with my curser or screen saver! It breaks up a boring essay!
She likes 'people watching' with me too. We sit at the window watching
the day go by. She sits here to and waits for me coming in from work.
What a welcome I get! She wraps herself around my foot like a slipper
as if to say 'you're not going out again'! We have such fun and she is
spoilt so much! Poppy, it was a lucky day for us the day the day you
wandered into our lives!
