Hi...
this is a picture of Martey when we were living on our sailboat
in Boston Harbor. In this particular shot he was trying to decide how
he could get to a flock of Canadian Geese that were feeding around the
boat. The netting is to keep Martey onboard, however, it doesn't work
so well. Martey learned to jump over the netting and onto the docks
whenever he gets a chance. Luckily he has never ended up in the water,
although he's had several close calls. He has his own kitty life
preserver, but hates to wear it - I think he's afraid some other kitty
will see him with it on and he'll die of embarrassment. Martey is a
great sailor and wonderful companion to have on the boat. He's family.
We all toughed out last winter together in the Harbor. There is never
a dull moment when he's around; not for us and not for the other
liveaboards in the marina. We now live in a condo and Martey's a
landlubbing kitty... until the Spring when we can go sailing again!
