I
was blessed over 17 years ago when this little kitten walked up to
me while I was walking home from a movie one night. He meowed at my
feet relentlessly as I wondered if he was lost. Then a guy walked up to
me and as I was going to hand him his cat back he informed me that
this kitten had been hanging around his house for the past week an
indeed was homeless. Since then he's been my cat. Sake is the most
easy going cat I've ever met. He loves everyone he meets and loves to
sit on laps. The second I answer my phone and I either sit or lie down,
he is lying on my lap. When I watch television he is on my lap. He
lives to sit on laps. He is also a very smart cat. He likes to watch
television and even has his favorite shows. He loves most animal shows
of course, but also likes Teletubbies and sports shows (car racing,
hockey and basketball). Sometimes he's glued to the set for up to half
an hour at a time which is a very long attention span for cat. He also
loves his sisters. He has five of them who all adore him and he enjoys
chasing them (still) and playing with them as much as they enjoy playing
with him. He also talks all the time and now that's he's getting on in
years and is a little hard of hearing he's very loud. When he wakes me
up sometimes in the morning I think I have a lion in the room. This
cat is truly loved and I feel honored that he picked me all those
years ago.
