This
is Lady Sassy Sabrina, an eight-year-old Tortoiseshell Persian.
Sassy is very special to my entire family. To us, she is the sunshine
on a rainy day and our home would not be complete without her. She
greets our guests at the door with a big wave of her paw, and gives
everyone kisses (wet ones!). About 2 1/2 years ago, Sassy went through
depression when her six year old Himalayan "brother", Sir
Spencer, died with feline PKD. She lost her will to live. She was
hospitalized and cared for by her friends at Mountain Shadow
Veterinarian Hospital. It was a struggle to get her stabilized and
back on track for us. In the meantime, after long discussions, the
family decided to "adopt" another baby kitten. It was the
right decision for Lady Sassy, as it gave new meaning to her life.
Sassy became the caretaker of a new silver mackeral tabby persian
"brother", Sir Owen. And that's another story!
