Kitters, the Cat of the Day
Name: Kitters
Age: Five years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Calico
Home: Jacksonville, Florida, USA

Kitters has enriched my life with her unique personality and, of course, with her stunning looks! She has the most beautiful coat of fur and wears it well, adding another layer to her already pudgy belly. And her personality only enhances her beauty! Kitters follows me around wherever and whenever I move. If she happens to be sleeping in some remote corner of the house when I arrive home, I simply call her name and she immediately comes running. Then she will stand at my feet until I acknowledge her, always wanting to strike up a conversation with me. She loves her fleece blanket! It is always folded on the end of my bed...this is a must in order for her to finally fall asleep. First, when I am heading to bed, she will crawl up beside me and lay on my right shoulder with her head slightly propped on the pillow (next to my head). She thinks she is a person! After a few minutes have passed, however, she will slowly get up, checking to see if I am safely asleep. If I am, this means it is time to head for her blanket; if she sees that I have not yet fallen asleep, she will lay back down beside me until I do. Basically, she tucks me into bed and waits patiently to ensure that I fall sleep.

One of Kitters all time favorite things to do is to lick any and all photographs that happen to be lying within her reach. She must like the taste of the chemicals...or maybe she is just very fond of my friends and family! Kitters loves to be rubbed on her oversized belly! She will sprawl out on the floor, awaiting any moment that someone will bend over to give her a good rubdown. Occasionally, when she is really desperate, she will let me hold her like a baby in hopes that I will rub her stomach this way. I am very thankful for Kitters' friendship! I adore her more and more each day. She definitely adds a piece of joy to my life!
