In
October of 2000, I found Titou under my car as she was trying to hide
from me. I thought she was a kitten, being that small. She weight only
four pounds and her fur was awful and falling off. I took her into my
home, cleaned her, fed her and comforted her as she was crying so much
being hungry and scared. I did not want to keep her because of my other
cat Bandit. I was desperately looking for a nice home for her but no one
wanted her.
The vet told me; to my surprise that she was at least a year old and
just had a litter of kittens. She was very sick and the vet told me she
might have a deadly disease. After some blood test, we found out that
she was okay but in need of supplements and medication. It was
terrible, she was sick all over my carpet for about two weeks so I kept
her in the basement at first. Four weeks went by and still no one to
adopt her. She was getting better and I started to fall in love with
her. She was very shy back then but as you can see from this picture,
she is calm, well fed and happy. She now sleeps with me and Bandit
almost every night. I named her TiTou, which means "little bundle" in
English.
I hope that everyone who reads this get a chance to help an animal in
need one day. Every day she shows me how grateful and happy she is to
have found a loving home!
