Sir
Simba is quite an amazing and loving Persian. When I sent his papers
in to have him registered, I only wanted his name to be Simba.
Evidently, they had another white and grey Persian cat and he had the
same name as Simba. His papers were returned to us and they named
him "Sir Simba." Now his registered name is Sir Simba but to us we just
call him plain Simba.
Simba loves to wake us up every morning around 5:30 A.M. He jumps up on
the bed and sits on my chest until I get up and feed him. After he is
through eating, he jumps up on the bar in the kitchen and heads for the
kitchen sink. he turns around and looks at me so I can turn on the water
for him. He enjoys drinking his water from the faucet in the kitchen
sink only. When my daughter gets up in the morning, he meows to go into
the bathroom with her. He loves to sit on the toilet seat and watch her
get ready for work. She throws him small cotton balls and he tries to
catch them in mid air. Most of the time he succeeds. He keeps waiting
around for cotton ball after cotton ball so he can catch them. He also
enjoys playing with Q-tips and carries them around the house in his
mouth.
His personality is very sweet and he just loves for you to talk to him.
There was an article in our local newspaper about two years ago and
Simba had a sister named Pearl. She was stolen while being boarded at a
local vet's office. She was never found. The owners were heart broken
and were offering a $500.00 reward for the return of their cat. She
looked exactly like Sir Simba. You could tell they came from the same
liter. I thought how very sad it was to lose such a beautiful Persian.
Simba is just a joy to have around our house. He is so smart and does
not miss a trick. All cat lovers should have a cat like Simba. He brings
so much joy to our lives. He is definitely the king of our house.
