This
is Misty Morning (Misty for short). Misty was waiting for us the
day we went to our local humane society shelter. Our previous cat had
died of old age and we had been a cat-less house for six months and one
day we decided it was time to look for another "furchild." My husband
and I walked in the adult cat room of the local humane society and there
were about twelve or fifteen cats lounging around on chairs, pillows and
blankets. Two cats got up and walked over to greet us and Misty
immediately stole my husband's heart. I played with some of the other
cats while Misty stayed with my husband who had sat down on the floor.
Misty sat in my husband's lap and turned on the charm and after going
through the adoption process we took her home.
Misty is a lively girl who periodically races up and down the basement
stairs chasing "ghost mice." She loves to stare out the window at the
birds at the bird feeders in our snowy back yard but since she's an indoor
cat she has to be content with chattering at the birds from a distance.
We are so very glad that another family surrendered this cat to the
humane society during the same week we decided we needed a new furchild
to bring joy to our house.
