This
is my cat, Sandy. He's a registered British Shorthair, bred in
Lithuania. His color is called 'creme classic tabby,' and he has round,
copper eyes. Isn't he gorgeous? Sandy is the calmest cat I've ever
had. He has traveled around the world with me, never raising a fuss.
Once I accidentally locked him in a small closet for ten hours; when I
returned from work, he was calm as a cucumber.
Sandy has a soft mew, but is practically mute. The one thing he does
NOT like is to be carried. Sandy is one and half years old and weighs ten pounds.
He loves to fetch toy mice, always retrieving them and dropping them at
my feet. He also loves to be in the middle of any project I'm working
on. He even gets in the middle of the bed when I change the sheets.
Sandy likes to be groomed because I think he understands that it
prevents hairballs. He's a shorthair cat, but he has an undercoat that
feels like a thick rug. When I pet him, my fingers leave tracks, or
trails, in his coat. He is very special.
