Cisco
was adopted from the California Center of Siamese Rescue
two years ago and flew all the way from California to his new home in
New York. One of his previous homes was a frat house, and whatever he
experienced there plus the stresses of bouncing from owner to owner and
his cross-country journey meant that he was a shy fellow when he first
arrived, hiding much of the time and nervous around strangers. However,
all the love and attention he has received at his new home has brought
out his unique personality. He is now the belle of the ball at any party
or gathering he attends in the apartment, although he may retreat to his
closet after it's all over.
As you can see from his picture, he loves being photographed and will
often pose very obligingly for you. He enjoys helping his human chat
with her daughter on IM, and even lets her know when to end the
conversation by knocking over all the photographs on the desk. He eats
only cat food, no human food, but he will happily push his face or paw
into your water glass if you don't provide him with one of his own, or
turn on the tap or his fountain for him to drink from.
Cisco is very intelligent, and a shrewd and skilled gamescat. He has
excellent timing in hide and seek and has been known to startle his
human opponents by jumping out at a surprising moment. He is often the
winner in games of "pounce standoff" with his human. After all this
activity he may go to the bedroom, pull out a dresser drawer, and take a
nap nestled in all the clothing. Cisco is definitely the prince of the household.
