I
adopted Becky and her sister at five weeks old. I taught them how to
eat from a spoon and use the litter box. Becky thinks I am her mother
and when I come out of the shower, she wants to dry me. She also watches
me all day when I'm home (in between naps). She also plays baseball a
lot with me and will bat anything thrown at her (paper balls, wood
sticks, candy balls). She is the "alpha" cat and runs the household.
When it's cold she will crawl under the covers and sleep on my back.
When life is boring, she will pull the yarn from my crochet hook into
the next room, or else chase her sister all over the house. I have never
met any animal quite like Becky with that kind of insight into human
behavior and the desire to please a human or want to take care of a
human like Becky. She's one of a kind, in fact, she's the best!
