Skinny
turned up in our garden when we lived in Leicester, and was
painfully thin (hence the name) and had very bad skin because of a bad
attack of the fleas. We adopted her along with her mouthy sister Pam,
and had her fleas treated and now Skinny looks like she has just stepped
out of a salon. She has also gone completely the other way with her
weight and is quite fat (as you can see from the picture taken of her on
the fence - she has real girth). I think it's because she had a
traumatic childhood and their 'dad' says she eats to forget. Both Skinny
and Pam get combed every day and are completely spoilt.
Skinny is completely soft and is never nasty to anyone. She spends most
of the day going from the window to the bed and it a bit scared of most
of her toys. Her favorite toys are tiny furry mice, though she's too
lazy to catch real ones. You can throw them at her and she bats them
back with her paws, but only while lying down of course. Her dad is her
favorite person and if he's out, she starts playing up and scratches the
furniture and sometimes even rips up magazines in protest. She also has
a big fat white furry belly that she likes to show off to you. Cats are
the best.
