This
is Trilok. He is named after an Indian drummer, Trilok Gurtu. His favorite
treat is cantaloupe. I once gave him a choice between chicken &
cantaloupe to see which one he's choose, and he went for the cantaloupe
without hesitation!
He is a very resourceful li'l guy. He adopted us almost seven years ago
when he walked into our house and fell asleep on a pile of clean clothes
in a laundry basket. He had been living with us for almost six months
when we got a knock on our door. It was a neighborhood kid, about ten
years old, named Johnny. He said "Um, you've got my cat." I said, Oh,
I'm sorry - we thought he was a stray - do you want to take him home?"
Johnny said "No, my Mom says you should keep him because our other cat
doesn't like him."
Later on, we learned that Trilok had run away the day his old family had
planned to get him fixed. (Unfortunately for Tri, we got him fixed very
soon after adopting him!). We also learned from neighbors that he had
"tried out" various houses in our neighborhood, staying for a few days
with each, then leaving. I guess he was just looking for his forever
people and decided upon us! We're very happy with him and love . He's
playful, feisty and has lots of personality.
