everyone! Nice to meet you! My owners call me Sophie, SoSo, Sophie
Lynne, Bunny Butt (that's because I don't have a tail) - but you can
call me Cat of the Day! I deserve to be Cat of the Day because I've had
a rough beginning in life, but now I've finally found a furrever home!
I was born around April 1, 2004 in Hyden, Kentucky, a very small town.
My mommy gave birth to me and my brothers and sisters under a trailer
home on top of a mountain. It wasn't very nice living outside, in the
rain and cold. One very sad day, some hunting dogs came around and
chased my mommy up a tree. The owner of the dogs came and, thinking my
mommy was a good target, shot her with a rifle. After that, I was an
orphan. Then, without mommy around, my brothers and sisters all passed
away, one by one. My life was awful!
Then my luck changed. I was discovered by the human who owned the
trailer I was living under. He fed me and kept me warm, and quickly got
me to my Meowmie - my human mommy! Meowmie had to drive four hours each
way to get me - but she told me she would have driven around the world
just for me! She took me home and bathed me (she said I was covered in
fleas), fed me a lot (she said I was underweight) and gave me a warm
place to sleep. Life was much better!
Now, I spend my days playing with my brother, Tito, and loving on my
Meowmie. They both love me very much, and I love them too! I'm a happy,
healthy kitty, and I'm so glad I've got a new chance at life! Well, it's
time for me to go - there's some exploring to be done! Bye!
