This
is our beautiful little, Belle. She was saved from the SPCA and
welcomed into our home on July 27th of last year. She reminds me of our
beloved Nova who went missing last July 5th (a week before our wedding)
more and more every day. It was a sad time, and though we went to the
SPCA to only drop more photos off of Nova in case she showed up there,
my husband wanted to see the kittens that were there. I was not keen on
the idea, thinking it was too soon to get another, but when we saw Belle
in the cage, climbing up the bars and looking at us with those precious
eyes. We knew we had to get her. I was overwhelmed with emotion, but
seeing Belle interact with her big brother, Thor (who is four years old)
made me happy that he had a play mate again.
Belle is a happy kitty, who enjoys being brushed, sitting on your lap
while you're using the bathroom(LOL),tormenting her brother, fitting
herself into small baskets or bowls, playing catch with her mouse, and
especially having Thor clean her. She will snuggle her head under his
chin and it works for her every time. He will automatically start
licking her, doesn't matter if he's tired or not. She loves spending
time in the basement - in dark places. She keeps to herself most of the
time, but when she wants to be loved she lets you know. She has a
special little bed in our bedroom that she has slept in since the day
she came home. She comes to bed when we do. When we are lying in bed and
Belle walks over us, you can't even feel it because she's so
lightweight! Now, Thor on the other hand...a big difference. Belle is
our special girl and I'm glad she came into our lives.
