About Us
Zeebee, the Cat of the Day
Name: Zeebee
Age: 19+ years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Domestic Short Hair
Home: Arlington, Texas, USA

Hello! My name is Zeebee, otherwise known as "The Queen." I have ruled over my humans for 19 years and it's been a wonderful life for someone as regal as myself. I adopted my human woman in 1985. She found me wandering the street as a kitten. I don't know what happened to my original family, but once I found this one, I knew I was home for good!

I currently have to share my home with four other cats. One is a princess in waiting (and I intend to keep her waiting a long time, yet) and the other three are males who think they own the place. I keep them all in line and let them know that it is I, the regal one, who rules here! I may be small, but I have class. I am the only one who doesn't lose my collar. Thus, I earned a beaded collar with my name on it. None of the others can keep a collar long enough to earn a special one! I am the first one to greet human company, too. I feel it is necessary to show all humans that cats as regal as I am deserve some attention. A few soft rubs around a leg will usually get them to notice me. (Did I tell you I have the silkiest fur?)

I have always verbalized my needs, and shared my thoughts with my humans. When one of them comes into the room, I greet them properly with a friendly "Meow, me-eww" or even a simple "Mmfph." I usually get the proper greeting in return. Sometimes I tell them about my day in full meow talk sentences when I want to share. I have a real loud purr and use it whenever it is necessary to get some extra petting. One of my secrets is to climb on a human and start purring right away. I am usually rewarded with some good rubbing. If I get no response to my purrs, I make it a point to sniff his or her nose to be sure they are all right. In my earlier years, I was one of the best body surfers, ever. I liked to sleep on the top of my human's body and when he or she turned over in their sleep, I could stay on the top for the whole ride! I've let that talent go in the last year, or so, as my arthritis doesn't let me be quite as agile as I once was.

I hope to have quite a few more good years to reign over my subjects. They deserve my wonderful presence & attitude.

Note from the humans: Zeebee is a special feline. She has enhanced our lives greatly for all these years, and we love her very much.
