This
is Black Jack. He is a wonderful cat. We got him and his "brother"
(not a littermate) when he was about six weeks old. He was much smaller
than his brother and we thought he would always be small. A year later
he outweighs his brother and is a big, fat cat.
Black Jack loves his family that includes me and my husband, and Black
Jack's cat and dog brothers. But he is very afraid of anyone else. If
he gets caught in the house when we have visitors, he hides under the
bed. He will keep checking to see if the offending visitors have left or
not. If they are still here, he gives them the evil eye and runs back
under the bed.
Also he is very sensitive to changes in his environment. We are
remodeling the utility room where Black Jack sleeps at night. All the
activity has him very upset. He has to be coaxed into the room with a
bowl of canned food, then we have to hurry and shut the door before he
runs out. After he figures out his food and bed are still there, then he
is okay.
The picture was taken last Christmas. Black Jack loved to hide in the
Christmas tree and peek out at us. I think he felt very safe in there.
We love our neurotic Black Jack, and would not trade him for anything!
