Hunter
is an awesome cat. I met him at the local humane society two and half
years ago on my work lunch break. I did not intend to bring anyone home
with me, but this big friendly orange cat introduced himself to me, and
before I knew it, I was filling out an application and taking him home.
Since then, not a day goes by that Hunter does not make me smile. He is
a smart kitty. He loves his kitty treats and we have trained him stand
and shake his one paw in the air to get the treat. He often gets upset
if he is not allowed into a certain room and will stand up and try to
turn the doorknob with his paws.
One of the things my husband I find peculiar about Hunter is the fact
that he will not be tied down to one spot in the house. He seems to
choose a spot and spend every day there for about a week when he naps,
and then he moves on to another spot for the next week, never to revisit
the old spots. We need to get a new house soon if he keeps this pattern
up because he will soon run out of his creative nap spots. A sore spot
right now with Hunter is his new brother Riley, a three year old bengal
cat, we adopted a few months back. Hunter is a laid back kind of cat
and will let you know when he wants something or is ready to play.
Riley is the playful little brother who wants to be by Hunter's side
constantly. Luckily Hunter is an excellent jumper and can jump to
heights not reachable by Riley. This is how he gets some peace and
quiet. We love Hunter and are so happy to have such a sweet cat in our lives.
