This
is our cat "Truman" named for Truman Capote, he's also known as
"Buddy" (Truman Capote's nickname) but, actually we call him "Boo Boo".
That was his predecessor's name. Boo Boo was originally a city cat, when
he first came to his new country home last December he ventured a little
too far from the house. While exploring his new turf he came in contact
with the neighbor's dogs and they chased him up a tree where he stayed
for ten days. One of our neighbors, who knew we were looking for our
lost kitty noticed his dogs looking up the tree. He realized the dogs
had Boo Boo at bay, he helped him down out of the tree and the minute
Boo Boo hit the ground he flew home. He was thinner but happy to be back
in his own yard.
He keeps us entertained with his failed attempts to catch squirrels and
birds. He is just a little too slow. Boo Boo loves where he lives
because he has a big yard with lots of trees and plenty of space to run
around and chase things. The most entertaining thing that Boo Boo does
is he loves to ride in the golf cart. He enjoys this so much that
whenever someone gets in the golf cart and starts it he comes running
and jumps up on the seat next to the driver and rides happily around the
yard. Boo Boo also likes sleeping on the floor of the shower, an odd
choice for a cat, we think. Boo Boo stays up late and loves sleeping in
until about noon. He only likes one type of dry cat food and he never
overeats. He has short stocky legs, great big paws, and a wonderfully
deep and expressive voice. He is just a great cat to have in the family.
