When
my wife got this little guy, he purred and purred all the way home
so we called him our little purr "bug" and the name "Bug" has stuck.
This has become more and more appropriate since Bug is also very anxiety
ridden and jumps at the drop of a hat. He's also not very little since
he's grown to a healthy seventeen pounds, but still loves to cuddle with us at
night. He's a talker and loves to chat with us especially while we're
eating dinner in the evenings.
When Bug was growing up, his legs were so long that he earned the
nickname "stilts" and it took him several years to grow into his huge
ears. Bug has six male housemates, but only gets along with the oldest
who was here before him. They romp and play throughout the house. Bug
had been declawed, so he stays inside while a few of his friends enjoy
the outdoors on sunny Ohio days.
