This
is our kitty Sebastian (also Fluffle, Sebbers, Fat Cat). He is the
youngest of five cats in our home. He is a Maine Coon mix. He was one of
three feral kittens that were born in our neighbor's back yard. My kids
kept trying to catch the babies for a week, because the mother was gone.
Finally the kittens were trapped under a tool shed in another neighbor's
yard. They caught all three, and brought them home. We fed them and took
them to the vet. They were about four weeks old. We had no intention of
keeping any of them, since we already had four cats, but Sebastian grabbed
our hearts. The other two were adopted out to another neighbor.
The funny thing about the whole story was that Seb did not look to be
any part Maine Coon when he was a kitten. His siblings are not. His
picture should be in the dictionary next to the term "lap kitty",
because he is the living truth of that in cat language. If you lay down
on the floor, he thinks that is an invitation to bring his seventeen
pound self over and sprawl out on your abdomen. He actually helps to
make ab crunches more challenging!! When we work at the computer, he
will come and jump up and curl into a ball right in front of the
keyboard on your lap while you type. (You have to push your chair back a
little bit for him to fit!!) He loves to eat, which you can see.
Sebastian has been with us for two years now, and we can't imagine not
having him. He is a great cat, so we thought we should share a picture
of him with others!
