Micah
was adopted from a shelter in Chicago in October, 1986. When her
person moved to Texas, Micah and her brother moved, too. Unfortunately,
the two were abandoned by their person. The two were frightened and
lonely. I flew with them to a new home in another state, Micah spending
the flight time sitting on her brother, with her head out of the
carrier, constantly asking questions.
The two lived in a nice home, with stairs to climb, and lots of room.
They were happy there, but Micah's brother died, and she was again very
lonely. The person who had adopted them agreed to let Micah live with
me. Her home with me is her fifth, and Micah has now been in her
Forever Home with me for several years. She is beautiful, intelligent,
and gives the unconditional love of a truly spiritual being. Each night
she sleeps with her head in my hand, and my arm around her.
Micah is eighteen and is a cat who finds joy in her life, and gives great joy
to me. Micah has many toys with which she plays (she especially likes
to be covered in tissue paper of any color), and several favorite
resting spots. Her happiest time is at night, when she sleeps with her
head in my hand. That is my happiest time, too.
I will always be grateful that, although she has had a difficult life,
that life brought her to me. Thanks, Micah!
