Hi,
my name is Chivas and I live in South Africa. Me and my mom watch
all the cats on Cat of the Day, and now we have decided that I must be
one of them as well. Even though we live in a country far, far away, I
am just as beautiful as any one of the other cats.
I am a blonde-coloured cat and has been called "dumb blonde" on account
of the stupid things I have done. As a kitten I fell from a windowsill
and broke my hip-bone. Luckily after a trip to the vet and a few weeks
of rest, I was as good as new again. I got my name because of my color
that looked just like a bottle of Chivas Regal Whisky when I was small.
I live in a house with a big garden and even though my mom has tried to
keep me inside, I won't have it. I am outside most of the day and love
catching everything that moves. That includes mice, birds and even a
lizard or two. I however have to tolerate staying inside during the
night as my mom calls me inside as it gets dark and closes the window.
I am very spoiled and loves to sit on my mom's lap every evening and I
sleep under the covers when it gets cold at night. I have a very good
appetite and am therefore on the heavy side. That gives me the advantage
over my sister Blackie, that stays with us and who I love to play with
and lick all over. We are very happy here in South Africa and send
greetings to all the other cats out there.
