Tabitha
(aka Tabby or Scooter) is the sweetest, gentlest, and most
loving cat my husband and I have ever known. My husband adopted her
when she was a tiny little kitten from the ASPCA (thank you Petco!) and
she "adopted" me when my husband and I started dating four years ago.
Tabitha is an indoor cat and loves to cuddle and sit on our laps, or
between us both when we watch TV. She loves to be carried around like a
baby and gives us wonderful little kitty hugs. She is afraid of anyone
other than my husband or myself, and runs and hides under our bed as
soon as she hears the doorbell.
She loves to sit in her cat condo and watch (and cackle at!) the birds
through the window. We let her out on our back patio and grassy area
once in a while in the summertime, but she has to wear her little body
harness leash in order to go outside. She jumps up on her condo in
order to get harnessed when she sees me or my husband holding the leash.
She loves to race around the house and up and down the stairs, when the
mood strikes her. She also loves to pretend to chase and attack her
mouse toys. At the end of the day, when everyone is upstairs, she
carries one of her mouse toys upstairs to my husband so that he will
continue to play with her!
She likes to sleep with us on our bed, mostly on my backside or my side!
She resides with us and our other cat, Smokey, who is the dominant cat
in the house. Even though they chase each other and fight now and
again, they can also be found cuddling together and cleaning one
another.
Our precious Tabitha brings us joy every single day and we love her very
dearly. Our lives would not be the same without her and we love being
her "Mommy" and "Daddy"!
