Oliver
is a very loving companion. He loves to go walking with me. He is
an indoor kitty, but walks on a leash, just like a dog. He loves to help
with the Christmas decorations, and wrapping of packages, or should I
say perhaps, eating the ribbons! Oliver has had a rather difficult year.
He has had a serious illness, but right now he is doing much better. He
has been a very brave "boy", during all his trips to the Vet this past
year.
Oliver is the most loving kitty companion that I have ever lived with. He
is very gentle and sings most of the time. He likes to chase balls
across the room. His favorite part of the day is when he goes for a
walk with me. If I don't take him out when he wants, he goes to where
his leash hangs and reaches up to grab it and rattle it, so that I will
notice him. He likes to stay close to me, and sit in my lap, he sleeps
with me, with his head on the pillow.
His illness the past year and a half, has been a mass cell tumor on his
lower eye lid. He went through eight months of Chemo. He finally had surgery
at the end of October. Now he is doing great, and is off all medication.
They were able to save his eye, which they didn't think would be
possible. He has had monthly trips to the Vet's for the past eight months,
and sometimes weekly. Through all of this, he still manages to look at
me with love in his eyes, and a song to sing. He is now ready to
celebrate Christmas.
