This
is my beautiful kitty Rosie. I think she has a very beautiful
face. I got her about two years ago from the shelter Animals in Distress
where I used to volunteer. Animals in Distress is a no-kill shelter and
it took me at least six months of volunteering there to decide who to
adopt out of all of those wonderful kitties. So many need homes.
Rosie is very special to me. Although she loves attention and being
petted and brushed, she is not a lap kitty and does not like to be held.
It sure doesn't keep her from sleeping next to me on the bed every
night. She loves to chase little strings but only those strings that are
attached to clothes, like a drawstring on pants. Her next favorite
hobby (besides eating, which does not need mentioning since it is number
one on all kitty lists) is trying to get down into the basement. She must
think there are many wonderful things to do down there.
She is strictly an indoor cat, which she prefers, and is very quiet.
She might make a little squeak once a month or so. She does have a
pretty loud purr though. There are three things I make sure I do every day:
1. That she purrs
2. That I tell her how beautiful she is
3. That I tell her how much I love her.
She is the best!
