Milly
was found when she was only nine months old in a department store
parking lot. I found Milly meowing for help under cars as they sped
through the indoor parking structure. She was very scared. She came to
me, but would run away when I tried to catch her. I called my husband
from work to help me catch her and as I waited for him shielded her from
cars. My husband came and helped me catch her and put her in our car.
Milly was so tired she slept all the way home.
Our first night with Milly was so special... she was very scared, but
sweet and curious and very loving and smart. Our apartment building did
not allow us to keep pets so the next day we took Milly to the local
animal shelter. My husband and I cried the whole day after we gave her
up. We fell in love with her and wanted to adopt her. The shelter
kept her for a week before allowing adoption, this gave her potential
owners time to reclaim her. But no one reclaimed her. In the one week
we found a new apartment, moved in and adopted Milly!
Milly is now the happiest and most spoiled cat ever. She has more toys
than most children and loves to play fetch with her toy mice. She also
puts her paw out for a shake for treats. Milly hates being picked up or
held, but loves being in the same room as us. She has brought us much
joy, fun and converted me, a dog lover, to a total cat worshipper!
