I
am really attached to my cat, of course, I understand, every pet owner
is :) For me he is very special, because, as it seems to me, I have in some
mystical way asked him to be born. The thing is, I have always loved
cats, but was not ready to have one because of being busy. At school, on
my table, there are a lot of pictures of cats, mostly given to me by
students, for they know my love for them. One of these pictures I liked
the most, a photo of a very small, reddish kitten. I knew, if I had one,
I would have that kind of a cat. Finally, this year I decided to find a
cat for myself. My friends and students promised to tell me, if there is a
reddish cat born. So one day a girl from my group said, that night her
cat had had kittens, and one of them was reddish, would I like to have
it. My answer was, yes, if it was a girl cat, because I thought of a
girl cat. After five days, to let me know what I was going to have, the
girl took the mother cat together with a little kitten to school. That
was a moment to remember. When I took the little creature in my hands, I
understood, boy or girl, this cat is for me.
Five weeks later my students had to leave the school, they came to my
house for a goodbye party, and Elf was given to me. Like all cats, he is
very cute, playful and funny, and very social. He likes to spend time
next to me, watching television, working at computer, sleeping next to
the monitor is his favorite place. From all his toys he likes a big soft
toy crayfish the most, and when he plays with it, it looks like he is
fighting, like sumo.
But the most surprising thing was this - when I looked at the picture on
my table, with a cat I liked the most, I was shocked. If I didn't know
better, I would be sure this is a picture of my Elf. Absolutely the same
face, every spot is the same. So I keep this picture now in my wallet,
to remind myself, that all the wishes come true :)
He is already three months old. In this picture, taken recently, he is in
his favorite place - at the computer. And his fighting partner crayfish
is with him, too at the left! :)
