Andy, the Cat of the Day
Name: Andy
Age: Thirteen years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Tabby
Home: Atlanta, Georgia, USA

This magnificent orange and white tabby is Andrew Jackson Shevitz of Atlanta, Georgia. He is thirteen years old and weighs in at seventeen pounds. He began life as a dumpster kitty.

A friend of mine was fostering him and suggested I adopt him after just having lost my dear Butterscotch, another delightful orange and white boy. True to form he is a dream boat. His disposition is sweet as the day is long. He is tolerant of other animals and can turn the most fierce cat hater into a cat lover in one meeting.

Andy recently lost his nephew, Little Bit. Andy misses him very much. Andy's little niece, Katie Belle, is still around, and being a youngster of six years she can coax him into playing with her if not into a wild chasing scene that rivals all the top action movies made today!

I think that orange tabbies are the finest and most loving of all cats. Andy loves to hug my neck, knead me for hours and drool puddles onto my shirts. During the summer months he manages to bring me the gift of poison ivy as well from his meanderings through the woods behind our home. He is kind to the ducks that wander by and the geese and makes friends with all the neighborhood felines.

   Happy Halloween!
