This
is a picture of Bengal Bambino Tiger Lily, known to the world as
Tiger Lily. Tiger Lily is actually a real character! She often makes my
mum laugh by holding conversations with me while we talk on the
telephone. When I talk to Tiger Lily, she often answers and has a real
range of expressions, some of which sound like real words. Many people
have said that they've never known such a conversational cat.
She is very sweet-natured and likes to sleep at night under the duvet,
curled up against me. She has a knack of selecting people if they are
feeling a bit down and will make an extra fuss of them. She loves to be
admired and to show off her beautiful tummy - she can be a real poser!
She likes me to stroke the tummy, but it's as well to beware - she does
have very sharp corners! Cuddles are all on her terms, though when I
come in after work she will often like me to put my face close and will
give me Bengal kisses on my forehead and nose.
She has a nylon tunnel with a rustly lining and loves to have string or
similar trailed at one end of it so that she can sit at the other end
and charge through to catch it. She has times of going extremely fast
around the flat, dashing on and off the bed and other surfaces and
climbing the ironing board, which leans against a cupboard. She makes
people laugh when she does that! She is an incredibly skilled climber
and jumper.
I have to watch her - she will eat paper, cardboard and especially
cellotape if these are left within reach, and will attack pens -
wrapping presents is enormous fun!
