M.C.
wandered into our backyard about 4 1/2 years ago just meowing away,
thus her name "M"eow "C"at. My wife and I gave her water, then food and
lots of loving. Within months, she had worked her way part time inside
our home. When we traveled, she would stay outside and our dear neighbor
would take care of her. When we returned home, she would always be
waiting in our backyard - we were so happy to see each other. She was a
real neighborhood cat, so much so that she would go into a neighbors
home through the doggie door and get into trouble, thus M.C. became our
indoor-only cat. Good thing she adapted to indoor life so well because
she evacuated our New Orleans home with us in our camper for Hurricane
Katrina. We were gone for four weeks and her easy malleability made all go
well. Since then she has been on more camping and motel trips with us,
doing just fine, and now she has adjusted well to life in Texas where we
now live.
M.C. is very sweet and loving and has made cat lovers out of both of us.
She loves to be brushed and is a real connoisseur of comfort. She likes
to sleep by the windows and keep an eye on the birds, bugs and deer in
our yard. She also sleeps in our bed with us and wakes us up for her
early morning feeding (she has no snooze control). M.C. has taught us
the meaning of the cat word "meow" from the contraction "me'ow" for me now!
