Yes,
when I got here, my parents re-named me Sylvester - how clichéd is
that? Thank goodness there's no Tweety in sight. My other names are
Buddy and Sly Boy.
I was adopted a little over a year ago after my "parents" lost their
other two cats in rapid succession due to illness. An acquaintance
informed them of my need for a home because my former owner was not well
and could no longer care for me. This proved to be perfect timing. I
helped them cope with their loss, I got a great home, and now they just
love me soooo much. I'm an indoor cat, but I still have claws which, to
my parents' horror, have inflicted some damage to their nice leather
furniture. Needless to say, I get yelled at often, but it's always
followed by a cuddle and a kiss. I'm getting used to being carried
around like a baby, which I didn't like before. I have no choice, but
to enjoy their babying of me. I love to play with my laser pen light -
I love to chase the red dot, and to play hide and seek with mommy. I
also love to sleep above her head each night on my own special pillow.
My parents think I've been inhabited by the spirit of one of their
former cats, Tugger, because I act so much like him. What a lovely
compliment.
