Hi
there. My name is Mel and I am a real little rascal.
I came to my human family as a foster kitten with my brother and sister.
My brother and sister were much calmer than me so Mom joked that I was
the one kitten she wouldn't want to keep. Guess what! My human
brother's friend adopted my siblings and I ended up staying. My human
father didn't really want a third cat but had grown so attached to me he
wanted me to stay. He says I have the prettiest face ever!
I have had many adventures in my new home, such as crawling into the
ceiling in the basement and falling down between the walls. I was very
dirty and scared but OK after they rescued me.
I ran outside one day and right up a tree. Then I couldn't get down and
my human brother had to get a ladder and coax me with treats.
So far this holiday season I have ruined the tassels on Mom's table
runners, torn the garland on the stairs, taken ornaments off the tree
and played with them and knocked Mom's snowman collection off the stair
rail! I'm sure I'll find lots more to keep me busy over the next couple
of weeks.
I also love to hide under the tree skirt and pounce on my cat brother
Monty who gets really mad! He's never really taken to me - I can't for
the life of me wonder why when I'm so cute and lively!
Well, I'd better get going. I have lots of playing to do.
