This
is Franscesca (Fresca for short) looking down on her world with
feigned indifference. She was born into the last litter of garage cats
that my boss had. She was a snuggler then and still is. I cannot sit
down without her coming onto my lap. In the summer, she will sit in my
lap for a few minutes, then move next to me. Fresca is very good, she
hardly ever bats at my knitting.
She shares her castle with her younger brother George. In nice weather
she and George go out into the courtyard with "Mom" to explore, chase
bugs, and roll in the catnip. Fresca tolerates George until he tries to
take her perch. She lets him have the spot but not without doling out a
great wallop. If George isn't around to butt in, Fresca likes to play
fetch with her furry mice. Her favorite activities are keeping track of
neighborhood activities, sleeping, and being brushed.
