Piglet
is a very special cat as he makes me laugh every day and has such
a lovely nature. We adopted him from the RSPCA animal shelter when he
was four months old, just one day after adopting another lovely fluffy boy
Tigger who sadly is no longer with us but they were great mates for two
years. Piglet now has a little sister Honey who adores him, he tolerates
her but they do also have fun and play together.
Some of Piglet's favorite things are to play in the green environmental
shopping bags or in fact any bag or box will do and he can squeeze
himself into the smallest boxes. He loves to play with the feather on
the stick and goes crazy with his back legs kicking the mat or the large
ball. He will sometimes spend hours sleeping high atop the pantry
cupboard away from it all, especially his little sister if he needs a
break. He also loves to drink out of the bathroom taps and lounge
around in the bath after the hot water has been let out as it's nice and
warm. Piglet likes to sit on my lap of an evening while I'm watching tv
or may decide to snooze on my bed instead, anywhere he chooses is fine
by me. He's a friendly fellow and quite sociable often sitting on
visitors laps if he decides they are worthy of his presence.
He is a big cat, long and lean with a silky soft coat which he hates
having brushed, he will tolerate it briefly then lets me know when he's
had enough. When Piglet jumps up onto any surface he almost glides and
makes a little chirping sound as he launches himself. His meow is very
quiet for such a large cat and at times is even silent, he just moves
his mouth. He's a very polite cat who is not greedy with food but he
does love tuna.
We have a very large cat tower which resembles a tree trunk and they
love to sit on the very top but Piglet also manages to squeeze himself
into one of the small areas inside the trunk to sleep. If Honey is
sleeping on top when Piglet wants to then he simply gets up and almost
sits on top of her until she moves, just to remind her that he is the
boss.
Piglet's absolute favorite thing is to go outside but he is only
allowed under supervision on Sundays while it is nice and quiet.
Otherwise he has an outdoor enclosure that he can enjoy at any time to
watch the birds and languish in the morning sunshine.
Piglet is my Cat of the Day every day as he is such a beautiful boy and
a very funny fellow who brings so much joy and amusement to my life.
