When
our cat Jason, whom my family rescued before I was born, had to be
put to sleep when I was seven years old, I was devastated. He was truly the
ideal pet that everyone wants. He loved to be stroked and would lay
underneath the covers with us in bed, like he was protecting us from the
world.
Spunky was born early in the morning of August 8, 2002, and I remember
going to visit him later that day. He had the most beautiful blue eyes,
the cutest little meow that I had ever heard, and the most pleasant
personality out of all 3 of his very well-tempered siblings. We had to
wait until October to bring him home, but when we finally got him, he
was so perfect, and he reminded me so much of Jason. He grew to be like
him even more with his loving personality towards everyone, even
strangers. He loves to just sit and watch t.v. with us, his favorite is
watching Yankee games with my father, Spunky love watching the ball
travel around the park. His favorite place to be pet, like Jason, is
under his chin, and he'll show you where else he wants to be pet as he
moves his head around. If he gets lonely at night, he meows at the door,
the same little meow that made me fall in love with him, and when
someone lets him in, he will jump into bed and lay down, just like Jason
did. He is the most loveable cat that I could possibly get, and doesn't
display the independence that most cats portray. He is everything that
Jason was, and is more than I could ever want in a pet.
