This
is Theodora, also known has Dorie. She came to live with me in Nov.
2005 when someone put her in my garage and closed the door on her so she
couldn't get out. Where she was before that, I don't know. I bought her to
work for the next couple of days, since I didn't want to leave her alone
with my two old (ages sixteen and thirteen) boy cats, and she charmed
everyone. She visited with anyone who'd be visited with and perched on
various shoulders for a better view. One person took her home for the
weekend, but it didn't work out and she came back to live permanently with
me. One of my old cats plays with her, while the other tolerates her. She
doesn't care that she's the youngest or smallest. She fearlessly rules the
roost. She doesn't like being alone, but since she's come to live with me,
she's not been alone once. If I'm not there, she has at least one old cat
to be with. My house was certainly not "kitten-proof," but having to
rearrange my life has been a small price to pay for her company.
