Taccoa, the Cat of the Day
Name: Taccoa
Age: Four and a half years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Dilute Tabby
Home: Mineral Wells, Texas, USA

I adopted Taccoa about three years ago from a local rescue. I already had three other special needs babies. The rescue girls called me and ask if I want this kitty that walked like she was drunk and her name was Tipsy. Well, already being a member of Pet Talk, I started contacting a few members that knew just what this baby had and they helped me with advice of how to care for Taccoa. So I adopted Tipsy and renamed her Taccoa, which means "beautiful" in Indian. She is just so special and the love of my life. See, she is a CH Baby - that means she has Cerebellar Hypoplasia. She was born with this and it means her Cerebellum is underdeveloped, meaning she cannot control her movements or motions. However meowmom does not let Taccoa know she is handicapped.. She gets around with little help and does to the best of her abilities. And as of this date, I now have four Very Special CH Babies. I call them God's Gifted Wittle Angels, and I just Love them so much.

Taccoa's personality is very calm and sweet. She loves belly rubs and forehead kisses. She loves her pink catnip toy and ball (note one of the photos with her playing with them). Also she loves to play with her leopard print wand. She is very affectionate and likes getting and giving attention.

Now with her CH stiffness she does not like to be held of any length of time. Keep in mind she can not jump, so you have to pick her up if you want to hold her. She would prefer you to sit next to her to love on her. She is very independent. She likes to do things on her own and if she wants help, she will cry out to you. I know she has opened my eyes for sure on what a CH baby can and or cannot do. They are for sure God's Wittle Gifted Angels. I just Love her and the others so much!
