Morgan
came to live with us when he was about nine months old - his third
home. At his first home, the dad was allergic. He was taken in by a
couple who had an old cat and he and Morgan were not compatible. So,
Morgan came to live with us. He was very feisty and didn't like our
dog, Buddy, a black lab, who loved everybody, and I don't think Morgan
was very fond of the humans in the house either! But I loved him, maybe
because of his strong personality. And, I think he is a beautiful cat!
Over the years, Morgan has calmed down and runs to greet me when I
return to the house. He purrs and rubs against my legs and just makes
me feel very welcomed. He can make me smile even on my worst of days.
Even though he has become more accepting of us, he still lets us know
when he has had enough of being close contact and will just march out of
the room. One of his rather odd habits is to lie on the floor and put
the bridge of his nose flat on the floor - as if his nose is cold! And,
when he gets bored or just wants attention, he chews on the nearest
cardboard box. When people wander into our yard, he runs right out to
greet them and check up on what they are doing. He wants to be where
the action is!
