We
discovered Turtle in a tree two years ago. She would meow and meow, but
she wouldn't come down. Our 23-year-old grandson got a ladder and climbed
onto the roof, pulled the ladder up, and climbed up into the tree to get
her down. We told everyone we had found a turtle in a tree! People
believed us!
Turtle is a precious cat who loves her people and has never met a stranger...
at least not a human stranger. She thinks all other cats are extremely
strange, and she screams loudly when she sees one. In fact, she likes no
other animals. When she sees a possum or raccoon through the door at
night, she becomes extremely agitated.
She is a flying cat and likes nothing better than to be on the highest
shelf or piece of furniture in any room. At night when she isn't sleeping
in her bed, she sleeps curled up between our pillows.
We and Turtle live in Mineral Wells, Texas, a rural town west of Fort Worth.
