Miagi
is special because he isn't just a cat, he's our treasured family
member, as all of our pets are. He came to join our family in 2004, we adopted
him from this lady who 'found' him in her basement. We don't think she found
him, we know he was her cat and she just didn't want him. That is fine with
us, he was and is wanted by us. How can anyone not want an animal is beyond
me.
As we adopted him he was nine months old, we don't know his exact birth-date.
He is the reason why I am a cat person. It's not that I never wanted a cat, my
parents just then decided they couldn't live without Miagi. He is our first
family cat and what a pleasure he is to be around! We had the hardest time
naming him. You would think he was named after Mr. Miagi from the karate kid
but you would be wrong. We were saying a bunch of names and my mom came up
with Miagi. It's an eccentric, cool name and fits him perfectly because he is
eccentric and cool. Every morning, he will run around and go up the bar that
holds the house together, and hang for at least 20 seconds and do it all over
again.
He is just an awesome cat and just loves life. He also loves our coonhound,
Buster. They grew up together and love each other to this day. He is just
special and we love him just the way he is and hope to have many more happy,
healthy years together.
