Coconut
was rescued from a feral colony when she was only about six weeks
old. She is deaf and the person who fed the colony was afraid that she
wouldn't survive, being both white and deaf. I am a volunteer for a rescue
organization and was going to let her be adopted, but right after I got
her, I knew she already had found a home. She is the princess of the house
and her deafness hasn't hindered her at all except she still hasn't
learned what "no" means. I've tried to teach her sign language, but she
chooses to ignore me. She is a cat, after all! She has a little squeak for
a meow, but purrs louder and more often than any of my other kitties.
She's a very special girl.
