This
is "she who must be obeyed" - my lovely Zoe, Zo-Fo or Winky-woos. Zoe
completely rules the household and as a dutiful human servant I cater to
her every whim. As you can see, she is incredibly cute when she wants to
be and I was granted this rare photo opportunity only because a king prawn
was on offer!
I found Zoe in a pet shop at the overly-young age of around four weeks so the
vet advised that I would be lucky if she survived. The initial effort was
all worthwhile, and she has proved to be a strong and healthy cat on the whole.
As an elderly lady, her days are spent moving from one sunny spot to
another or wherever there is a source of heat, but on occasion she still
enjoys a game. She has found her voice in the last two years, and howls at
walls and cupboards as the mood takes her - such a delightful sound at 4
a.m., as I hurtle out of bed to make sure she is okay! I have a sneaking
suspicion it's her way of getting a nightime cuddle... but it works every time!
