This
is my cat Barney. He came to me via my son who got him as a gift
from his girlfriend. When they split up I took Barney since my son
couldn't care for him. Barney joined our household of our older cat
Chloe and two dogs Brandi and Fred. A year after we got Barney I fell and
tore the tendon in my knee and was out of work for nine weeks while I spent
most of my time in bed. During that time the only way I can describe it
is that Barney took possession of me to the point where our other cat
Chloe wasn't allowed in the bedroom. The bed became his domain and he
ruled the roost which he still does.
He is the most loving sweetest tempered cat ever and he has the most
beautiful blue eyes. He loves to snuggle with me every morning before I
get up and also before we settle down to go to sleep at night. He's very
laid back and nothing bothers him. He's not very vocal except when he
wants to go outside and he is very persistent if you don't let him out.
He likes to roll around on the driveway and sniff the bushes on the
front sidewalk and I have to watch him carefully because he likes to
sneak away.
I didn't know it was possible to love something as much as I love him.
He's brought such joy to my life and I'm looking forward to many more
years with him.
