This
is Mash, also known as - Mashers, Little Girl, Bad cat. Don't let the
pictures fool you into thinking she's overweight. She is our small cat. She is
actually at a good weight of 8 1/2 pounds. Her weight is pretty well controlled
due to her kidney issues from ingesting food contaminated with melamine. She
is very healthy now and has regained 90% of her renal function.
I am Mash! Dad says I'm a bad cat, but that's not true. I'm a Tortie! And, for
those of you who are uninformed Torties are a breed(so I say), not just a
color. I am special and I make sure everyone knows it. I picked Mom when she
came to the shelter 'cause I knew she would fix me up. I almost didn't make it
through my 1st weekend, but I'm a Tortie and my Tortitude pulled me through.
My 1st brother is Bangers, as in Bangers and Mash. I have three other brothers
named Guinness, Rory and Seamus. None are as cool as me, I run the house.
I walk around and talk all day. I climb up and sleep on Dad's lap during the
day. At night I sleep under the covers with Mom. I always get my way. I make
Dad hold me every day and carry me upstairs to bed at night. I sometimes jump
on Mom's back when she gets out of the shower. Being a Tortie allows me to do
whatever I want. I'm so special that I have my own drinking glass on the
table. Oops, time for another nap! Gotta go!
