Buddy
is truly a miracle survivor kitty if ever there was one. When I first
spotted him, he was on the other side of the fence surrounding my office
parking lot, and there was no way to get to him. Then one day, about three weeks
later, he was abandoned on my side of the fence in terrible shape. He had a
terrible cold and extremely infected eyes (sealed shut) and was dehydrated
among many other problems, including a two-day fever (which was very scary).
He got his first trip to the vet for eye meds, antibiotics, and a total
health exam. Next, he got all his series of shots, deworming, got neutered,
and was eventually given a clean bill of health. Back to the parking lot? No!
Buddy is home with me, totally inside my home and loving it.
Buddy purrs and stretches all the time, and is a naturally observant cat. He
is eight months old now and wise beyond his age. I say that because he seems to
really understand whatever I say to him and responds accordingly. As you can
see, his whiskers started turning white a few months ago, just too cute.
I do have older cats in the house, still hissing at Buddy on occasion, and it
doesn't phase him. He's always ready for whatever comes his way and knows how
to handle it and have fun. Such a sweet cat after such a shaky start, what a
blessing!
