My
name is Gretta and I was adopted from a shelter back in 2005. This
human saw me in the corner of my cage sitting in a very goofy position with my
belly sticking out and I was too busy licking my belly to pay her any mind. I
needed my space at first but have since come to enjoy the warmth of sleeping
on my human companions at night.
I live near water and spend most of my afternoons snoozing and hunting the
birds and squirrels through the window. Some days I get to go outside and eat
grass, roll in the dirt and sit in the sun, but my humans are pretty watchful
of me since I have asthma. They even make me use an inhaler on those humid
summer days and I just hate that!
Each night I get this crazy nocturnal urge and I run tearing through the whole
house with bright wild eyes and my crazy ears tilted back. My parents chase
and chase me but I'm way too quick! Most nights I get bored when my parents
sleep and often play taunting games of "nibble and tickle the face" to amuse
myself while they try to sleep. My whiskers are great for tickling!
Life is a wonderful game and I am as spoiled and happy as any furry cat could be.
